Missions

Lancaster Presbyterian Church invests in Missions quite heavily. We do this not only through monetary funds, but much of our investment is in going yourself to serve others who do not know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We May serve them by providing the manpower or expertise to do something for them that they cannot do.

We also go and serve those who know Christ personally, but do not have the funds to update, fix, repair or build what they need.

The Missions listed below is a partial list of those that we support financially:

Bob & Colleen Ludeking InterFace- members of LPC and have been serving international students for 30 years, both in New York and Flordia you can see their video here and visit their web site here

Dave and Rivers Partin are new Missionaries with the EPC and LPC has chosen to support them in 2009. We would encourage you to visit their website at: www.daveandrivers.com

partins   Dave and Rivers Partin from Covenant Chapel in Leawood,KS were appointed as World Outreach missionaries in July 2008. They have been called to serve in    Budapest, Hungary doing evangelism and discipleship with university students.  They will be partnering with Campus Crusade Hungary.

They both grew up north of Memphis in rural west Tennessee. Dave accepted Christ when he was 12 and Rivers started her relationship at 13 as a result of strong youth ministries. Because of the impact high school ministry had on their lives, they have been involved in student ministry since. They have both worked as youth ministers and on Young Life staff. They now desire to share the Gospel with college students who have never heard of the Good News of Christ. They will be working with Campus Crusade in Budapest, Hungary, where there are over 100,000 university students in this city of 2 million, and much work needs to be done for the Kingdom there.

Dave graduated from the University of Missouri in Kansas City with a bachelor’s degree in communications and attended Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary for a couple years. Dave has been the high school pastor at Covenant Chapel for the past 7 years.  Rivers has a Biblical Counseling degree from Calvary Bible College and loves discipling young women. They have two daughters Joy and Lydia.

They are excited about getting their ministry partners together and sharing in God’s beautiful vision for the nations. They need your prayers and financial support to enable them to serve in Eastern Europe. Please pray for swift development of their support and a smooth transition into life, culture and ministry. Miracle Garden Tsunami Children's Home:

PIC311
Here we partnered with some other churches and a foundation to help expand John and Michelle Pandian's capacity at the home for more children. Some people from LPC have gone to India to visit the Tsunami Children's home in Coimbatore, India, including the Pastor, Youth Director, some of youth and a doctor who has used his medical skills to help the children. Below is a short excerpt from their blogspot, where there are pictures and updates about the children:

Tsunami Kids
The 2004 Tsunami created a crisis in every land it came ashore. Children became the worst hit victims of this horrific disaster. We wanted to do our part to help the smallest and most vulnerable victims of the Asian Tsunami here in India. We went and saw the devastation, we heard the stories and we reached out our hands to hold those that lost every thing. At our Miracle Garden Tsunami Children’s Home, 60 kids enjoy a new life. Share in our passion to help these little ones build a new future.

The island of St. Vincent and the Grenadines:

4503
Many from LPC have traveled to St. Vincent in the last 5 years to be involved in minister there. We have helped update the Boys home by painting the inside and outside of a run down residence for the boys. We did not just paint, but have held a cook out for the patients and their families at the hospital in Kingstown, have gone from bed to bed asking all if we could pray for them, and have shared the gospel on the streets while partnering with a church from Barrouallie. Our emphasis when going is sharing the Gospel with as many as possible. Their school system is much different than ours, in that they allow us to come in the morning the sing songs, share a testimony and message and to pray in the short assembly while all are gathered.

Pittsburgh Project:

High Schoolers and some adults are involved in Pittsburgh, PA, where they have helped the poor by relandscaping their property and helping fix up the houses where these people live.
